It has been a busy couple of weeks and today is my first day off I've had in over 7 days. I decided to keep this poem short and off prompt. I may write to the prompt later but it felt like something deeper which I just didn't have the energy for at the moment.

Finding flowers in
unusual places
a pastime
I enjoy
seeing the beauty
and strength
in nature
reminds me
to be strong

Have fun playing with your words during OctPoWriMo!

  1. My son and I often go to the botanical gardens and shoot the flowers. With cameras, of course!

  2. It's neat how persistent some flowers and plants can be. A long while ago, I remember finding a petunia growing in the middle of my parents' backyard. We hadn't planted petunias in many years so I wondered out it go there.
You're right. They are a good reminder to remain strong but also to thrive in unique situations.

  3. As far as I'm concerned, nowhere is an out of the way place for a flower. They were here long before we were. To cohabit with humanity takes some doing—strong is right!
