Welcome

Grab a cup of tea or coffee (oh what the heck, get a danish too!) and sit a spell. You might want to grab your notebook and pen because you never know when you will be inspired to write down a quote, or jot down a poem of your own. Words are like that, they take you on a journey and the next thing you know you are breathing life into your own magical world of words.

Crystals and Chakras

Since I am now treating this like a business, I'm working on posting more regularly and that means almost daily on my Patreon and those posts that are going live a week later I'm sharing here.

I've decided to combine Crystal 52 with the Chakra work (Crystals and Chakras) I've been doing. I'm still using the same list of crystals in the meme below.

Not sure how this is going to look as I'm figuring it out as I go along. This weekly post will focus on one crystal per week and how it affects the different chakras and any other chakra work that I do that week.
One of the things I should mention, in case I haven't before, I work the chakras by day.
Monday - Root
Tuesday - Sacral
Wednesday - Solar Plexis
Thursday - Heart
Friday - Throat
Saturday - Third Eye
Sunday - Crown
I may work other Chakras as time goes by, but for now this is it.
When I decided to get back to writing about what I'm doing it was Saturday - Third Eye. I can't think about the Third Eye without it activating and it feeling pretty intense. It feels tight and kind of throbs. None of my other chakras respond like that when I think of them. Not sure if it is a feeling of it opening or of a block that I need to clear.
My first thought is to remember my word for the year is, Vision, to see more clearly what I need to see to heal and move forward in my life.  I must admit my dreams on early Saturday morning were quite vivid and intimate. So much so that when I woke up, I felt the loss of the people I was close to in the dream. I can't help but wonder if it was my third eye opening and seeing possibilities. I will have to ponder and meditate on this further.
Amethyst is the Crystal for the week. It is one of my favorite stones and I use it quite regularly. I always have one in my car for protection, in my home, and sometimes I wear one on a necklace. The Amethyst corresponds to the Crown Chakra which is Sunday, which is today.  I am visualizing the Amethyst floating within my Crown Chakra at the top of my head. I can feel it coming alive, opening up and it makes me smile. Crown chakra work always makes me feel connected to the oneness of life, how we are all connected to each other and to everything around us. I plan on going to sleep while envisioning the Amethyst hovering within my crown. I will come back in the morning and add anything I see in my dreams that may be related.
* That was interesting. I did dream vividly, but it wasn't a pleasant dream, more like a nightmare. I will be going into further details around that within the, Uncensored Me post later in the week.
I will continue to work with the Amethyst within my crown and see what else comes up this week. I will add any further observations in next weeks, Crystals and Chakras post.
Next Sunday I will be infusing water with an amethyst, then drinking it and noting any differences I feel.
I hope you will come along on this journey into Crystals and Chakras with me. I'd love to hear about your experiences with them each week.
Have some witchy fun this week exploring Amethyst and your Chakras.

Much love,
Morgan

Poetry and Prompts 1

Wednesday is the day for Poetry and Prompts. I've had trouble writing poetry with any regularity since 2014 when a woman decided it was her mission to convince me what I write isn't poetry. I allowed it to damage my self confidence in my poetry.

Now I am pushing myself to write poetry again, at least once per week, and share a prompt for you to join me on this journey.
Today I pulled cards from Sacred Rebels Oracle and the over all feeling I get from them is to trust in the process.
37. Focus on the Light
41. Bring it into Form
6. Shock of the New
I felt like it was telling me to focus on the light to be able to shift my energy. Bring it into Form I think is about my creativity, writing and art and making space and time for me to create, hence, bringing it into form. And the Shock of the New, I believe if I stay the course, change my energy by focusing on the light and keep creating, everything will change for the better which might be a little difficult at first but I will adjust.
The things I think keep holding me back, my subconscious thoughts about money. My lack of self love, my self sabotage, how I have begun to expect the worst. How I keep pushing people away because I’m afraid of getting hurt or because deep down I don’t really think anyone could love me, not the real me.

Self
Love inside
So hard to find
When doubt clouds the mind
Small opening to let light in
Love kicks away doubt
from inward out
Loving light
Self

I choose to focus on the light, to continue to create art and write, and embrace the new life I create for myself.

Prompt:

How can you encourage your self-love to grow? Are you allowing self doubt to cloud your mind? You can also use the words from the cards I pulled above.

When I decide to choose a form, poetry type, I just begin playing with words until something starts to click, either free form or I create some kind of pattern like the one above. Other times I go to Shadow Poetry and search through to find something that feels right for what I'm writing. During OctPoWriMo I encourage trying new forms so you can discover what types you like to play with, but during the year I highly encourage you to play with your words, arrange them, move them, rhyme them or not until you find something that works, or use your favorite forms you discovered during the challenge.

If you write a poem from the prompt, feel free to come back and share your link in the comments below.

Peace to you,
Morgan Dragonwillow

OctPoWriMo - Shining My Light and Vulnerability

My skin feels like it is on inside out a lot lately, everything feels slightly off or a lot off. Part of it is the pandemic and part of it is the cycle of life I am in. I spend a lot of time alone, partly by choice and partly, well, the pandemic. But even without the pandemic, I don't know that I would be spending much time with other people. More now than ever in my life, it feels difficult to be with people. That's why I spend most of my time with dogs and cats. They don't judge and they love, mostly, unconditionally.

I've decided to combine day one and day two of OctPoWriMo.

Inside me is light
peaking from small little cracks
the broken places

skin chaffs and prickles
at vulnerability
opening to feel

Picking at the cracks
widening, growing brighter
letting more light out

I am a crone in the making and and I'm using art witchery to help me through it. Moving through these changes can feel as difficult as being a teenager; hormones rising and falling and life feeling unpredictable, not that it ever was predictable.

A to Z Blog Challenge

I am going to attempt to do the A to Z Blogging Challenge in April even though my laptop is on the blitz. I'm going to keep it simple by creating A to Z Haiku and possibly other forms of poetry.

I'll probably share some of my art journaling and photography from the past year and maybe some new stuff I create during the challenge.

My theme is...

Crone Art Witchery
