I also use quotes from the Quote Garden:

I'll seek a four-leaved shamrock in all thy fairy dells,
And if I find the charmed leaves, oh, how I'll weave my spells!
~Samuel Lover

Garden fairies come at dawn,
Bless the flowers then they're gone.

The wind shows us how close to the edge we are.  ~Joan Didion

Or I use some of my favorite words:

Now I challenge you to pick from one to three of the above prompts, don't take too much time choosing, (whether pictures, cards, or words) and write a magical story no more than 1000 words and no less than 500. You can post on your blog and leave your link in the comments below or put your story directly into the comments. Have fun!

What do you think of using Tarot and Oracle cards for prompts? Have you used them before in this way? Do you have a favorite deck, or two?
