Welcome

Grab a cup of tea or coffee (oh what the heck, get a danish too!) and sit a spell. You might want to grab your notebook and pen because you never know when you will be inspired to write down a quote, or jot down a poem of your own. Words are like that, they take you on a journey and the next thing you know you are breathing life into your own magical world of words.

Confession of a Romantic Comedy Lover

I have a confession to make. My family says that if there is a B romantic comedy within one hundred feet of me I will find it. I love romantic comedies. Okay most would say, I'm a woman and maybe we are supposed to be known as liking romantic comedies but I am also a lesbian.

My partner mostly placates my love of romantic comedies but really, most of them she can't stand. She would rather watch action adventure, some horror, paranormal, or just about anything that is intense.

Even my own daughter, who is straight mind you, doesn't care much for romantic comedies. They both groan, "Not again..." whenever it is time for me to choose a movie.

I thought this one was cute
but my family disagreed.
I can't help it. I love a good romance with a big splash of comedy. Unfortunately I am forever on the prowl for another good one and end up watching a lot of B movies. Typically once I start a movie I can't stop it; I have to know how it will end.

So if you know of any good Romantic Comedies, please share. Maybe I won't have to inflict so many of the B movies on my family. Hah, yes I will.

Visit the other Written Confessions and leave your word love in the comments. Or maybe you would like to join this blog hop and write your own confession...

P.S. This confession was to be about writing but I write so much about that on my blog I couldn't think of anything that I hadn't already confessed to on writing.

  1. Not romantic comedies! NOOOO! Well, I don't mind romantic comedies if they are books, but I tend to stay away from the movies.

Thanks for taking part in the hop. =D

  3. For some reason, I have no problem imagining you torturing innocent people with romantic comedies. I haven't the slightest clue why because I don't know you personally. :P It makes for a good super power, though. You already have Patricia cowering in fear of your might!

    Thanks for sharing!

    1. It seems you are getting to know me rather well in the short time we've known each other. I am sure that we will get to know each other even better over time. Thanks for the chuckles!

  4. I love romantic comedies too! My boys cringe as well when I pick one although sometimes we find middle ground like The Ugly Truth, we all like that one. I'm also up for a good paranormal, slice off your head kick ass movie as well!

Jai calls me well rounded as far as movies go.
    Rik says I'm diverse.
    And Ryan says I'm bipolar.

    1. I love The Ugly Truth! I thought it was hilarious! Thanks for sharing what your family thinks of your romantic comedy habit. I am good with kick ass movies as long as they have a splash of funny in them such as Lethal Weapon or Die Hard.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing word love!

  5. The jury's still out on whether I like Rom Coms. I will watch certain ones but I don't go out of my way to watch them. But then again, I rarely go out of my way to watch anything if it doesn't immediately grab my interest.
