Welcome

Grab a cup of tea or coffee (oh what the heck, get a danish too!) and sit a spell. You might want to grab your notebook and pen because you never know when you will be inspired to write down a quote, or jot down a poem of your own. Words are like that, they take you on a journey and the next thing you know you are breathing life into your own magical world of words.

A Poem and a Row80 Check in

All of this work that I am doing in preparing for OctPoWriMo has me really chomping at the bit to write poetry. I have told myself that I should store it up for October because I don't want to burn myself out before it gets here but I just have to let loose at least one.

At times like these
I try
to do to be
not you
only what is
just me
Discovering
uncovering
into my soul
feeling
believing
grasping my goal
Reaching
touching
almost in sight
it's there
I am
full of delight

Row80 Check in:

I took a break from working on Write to the Finish Line and now I can see why. It is transforming a bit, not exactly what I thought it was in the beginning. It happens that way sometimes. I will be getting back to it probably by next week. It is percolating.

As you can see I am having a lot of fun working on OctPoWriMo with Julie Jordan Scott. If you love to write poetry or would love to explore your writing in a different direction, check out the great tips that we are sharing. I am very excited about them.

I just purchased We Are Not Alone: The Writer's Guide to Social Media by Kristen Lamb thanks to Stacey Brewer. So far it looks like it is a fabulous find for writers.

I just finished reading The Sign of Seven Trilogy by Nora Roberts and I am currently reading Blood Pact by Tanya Huff. Both are series that I enjoy reading again and again. Although I must say that there are other trilogies of Nora Roberts that I enjoy more such as The Circle Trilogy.

I have written a post almost everyday. I am quite happy about that though I haven't done much writing for my WIP. Not worried about it though because I had written so much for so long I think I burned myself out a bit. It of course is all about balance; still trying to find mine. Maybe by next round.

I am beginning work on combining my blogs and I am very excited about it. Can't wait until it is finished and I can share it with all of you.

That is all for now. Please visit the other Rowers and share word love in the comments.

I love your poetry! It feels true and lush.

What is Write to the Finish Line? It sounds intriguing.

I,too, am learning the shifting balance of the varying writing projects I am pursuing...it is getting more natural, but, then, the rest of my life is really set up to embrace that type of awareness....

Thanks for adding some beauty to my world, and for sharing kitty stories on my blog. It means a lot.

    1. Thank you Shan! The Manuscript I am currently working on is "Write to the Finish Line" (I had put it on hold to simmer a bit but I am getting back to editing it soon) It is for writers that can't seem to finish their manuscripts to publish them, and it includes retreats and ceremonies.

I am glad you stopped by to share word love!

      Peace to you friend,
      Morgan
