Welcome

Grab a cup of tea or coffee (oh what the heck, get a danish too!) and sit a spell. You might want to grab your notebook and pen because you never know when you will be inspired to write down a quote, or jot down a poem of your own. Words are like that, they take you on a journey and the next thing you know you are breathing life into your own magical world of words.

Beauty Denied - A Writing Challenge

My Poem: Beauty Denied

Flower raised
Light in her eyes
Smiling face
Opening to Love
Shot rang true
Slow to fall
Last breath expressed
Beauty denied
Blood trail out
Floating Flower
Eyes looking up
Gone the light

I combined two challenges; The Picture from  Words in Sync and the word Trail from Trifecta inspired me.

A Trifecta Challenge

    1. I used to do it a lot when I was younger but I guess I lost interest. I never thought I was any good at it. You re-sparked my interest in it. I did get some advice from my daughter on the flow of it. She explained the different kinds of poetry and told me that it didn't have flow so I changed it. I didn't like rules in school so I didn't pay much attention to the structure of poetry.

Thanks for re-igniting one of my earlier passions.

      Peace,
      Morgan

  4. Thanks for linking up to Trifecta. This is a really powerful piece. I love the structure of it--the buildup and the fall. Very nicely done. Hope to see you back again soon.
