Welcome

Grab a cup of tea or coffee (oh what the heck, get a danish too!) and sit a spell. You might want to grab your notebook and pen because you never know when you will be inspired to write down a quote, or jot down a poem of your own. Words are like that, they take you on a journey and the next thing you know you are breathing life into your own magical world of words.

Dance with Your Muse

Moving your body is the best way to get your words moving so dance with your muse, get inspired, and play with your words!

Woman
move your body
shake out
shake up
shake in
to
move your words

dance with your muse
feel the inspiration
pushing
pulling
moving

dancing with your muse
movements light as air
energy
shaking
shifting
transforming

feel the words
just to the left
moving
closer
to center

words trickling down
flowing
dancing
growing
onto the page

Head on over to OctPoWriMo for Poetry Prompts, visit the other participants, and share word love along the way.

I'm going to the Southeast Wise Woman Herbal Conference and I won't be around from Thursday through Sunday. I'll catch up with you on Monday, to see what everyone has been writing the rest of this week. Have fun playing with your words!

Morgan Dragonwillow, author of Wild Woman Waking & Dancing within Shadow, is a Bodywork transformer, dancing poet, motivator of words, magical instigator and creatrix of #OctPoWriMo & #PoetsonthePage. If you are interested in collaborating with your soul to get your words on the page, check out, Wild Woman Writing Retreat.
Yes, she is on Google+ too!

  1. Enjoy the conference!
I smiled when I read that stanza " feel the words/just to the left/moving/closer/to center"
I love dancing, but I am not sure I'll find the time to write about it today... we'll see!

  2. I do like to dance in spite of being entirely inept at it. However, with the constant pain in my feet, ankles, and knees, it doesn't happen much.

  3. Great post and great prompts for OctPoWriMo today. I like the movement in your poem.

  4. Love this! Some of my fondest memories are dancing with my children in our kitchen. I always write with headphones on and music blasting!
