Welcome

Grab a cup of tea or coffee (oh what the heck, get a danish too!) and sit a spell. You might want to grab your notebook and pen because you never know when you will be inspired to write down a quote, or jot down a poem of your own. Words are like that, they take you on a journey and the next thing you know you are breathing life into your own magical world of words.

Golden Leaf

Wet and windy day
Golden leaf on black background
Shines hope through the gloom

I'm not doing too well today. Physically and psychologically I guess.
I don't feel like following the prompt.
This is what you get, from a sad poet hiding in her bed.

  1. Hugs, many hugs. It's a process, you will get through. Hide and get well <3

    1. Ha! Thank you :)
The hiding may be hard, as I get my kids back today, and drive to my Mom's tomorrow. You know how that always makes me feel sooooo good! :/
But I cancelled work and rested this afternoon. Taking care of my little one, hearing what the crazy ex said, not to mention MIL and SIL... I guess that's what made me tip over into the abyss today.

Thank you so much for the support. It is much appreciated.

    1. Oh, thank you very much!
I tried to leave some hope to this poem. I am desperately in need to be picked up by the wind and gently rocked today, but it's wet and cold, and no sun ray in sight. Maybe that's why I closed my eyes over today's gloom, hoping to be able to enjoy tomorrow's weather more?
Thank you very much for reading and for your supportive comment :)

I liked the contrast between the vibrant yet matte gold and the shiny black. I only noticed the ripple effect on the body later. I would have framed/cropped it better if I had noticed earlier, but that's what you get from a sick photograph working on a phone too ;)

Thank you for your words. They help. XO
